Anna

Anna is an HCPC-registered counselling psychologist specialising in perinatal and maternal mental health. Since qualifying in 2007, she has worked with adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, as well as working in academia training and supervising other psychologists. Since becoming a mother herself, Anna became passionate about perinatal psychology and the experience of motherhood. She works in both the NHS and private practice supporting mothers antenatally, postnatally and beyond with their mental health. Anna also runs monthly support groups for mums in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

Jaina

Jaina is a yoga and meditation teacher with over fifteen years of teaching experience. She teaches private yoga clients, pregnancy yoga, events, workshops and retreats. Jaina advocates the practice of self-love and providing safe spaces for women. She has hosted many women’s retreats allowing women to come together to tap into and nourish their inner wisdom. Jaina is also a mother of two daughters. Navigating through motherhood has brought many changes and challenges but Jaina is grateful for practices such as yoga, counselling and Anna’s support groups which have helped her immensely.

Motherhood has been really challenging for myself and through the challenges I have learnt so much about the importance of investing into my own self-care practices. It is through these practices that I feel more grounded and connected to myself and my children.

I want to create spaces for other like minded mums too. Mums who want the best for their children and know that in order to give them the best it starts by giving yourself the love and attention that you need in order to thrive as a mother.
