Yoga for Upper Body Strength

This video takes you through a yoga practice to develop upper body strength. This sequence is for those who are familiar with and have practiced yoga before. I would also advise you to do a short warm up beforehand.

The video takes you through advanced poses such as plank pose and chaturangadandasana which are strong poses and if done incorrectly can cause pain into the lower back. To avoid this you want to ensure that you are engaging your core correctly and this is demonstrated in the video.

This sequence includes the following yoga postures;
• Vajrasana (Thunderbolt pose)
• Cat/ Cow
• Child pose (Balasana)
• Downward facing dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)
• Plank pose
• Chaturangadandasana (four limbed staff pose)
• Cobra (Bhujangasana)
• Upward facing dog (Urdhvamukhasvanasana)
• Sphinx (Salamba Bhujangasana)
• Dolphin (Ardha Pincha Mayurasana)

I would love to hear from you so let me know how you feel after the practice.
